Toll compounding instead of building a mixing plant
A mixing plant means internal mixers, a calender, weighing and carbon-black feeding systems, a laboratory and an experienced team. For many moulders and technical-part manufacturers, buying toll compounding is more efficient than carrying that investment: no fixed cost, capacity that flexes with demand, and quality control done by the compounder. Metekim's two plants and automated line deliver this service repeatably, for customers in Turkey and abroad.
How we work
- Recipe confidentiality: your recipe is used only for your batches under a confidentiality agreement; access to records is restricted.
- Raw materials: you can supply them, or Metekim sources them through the purchasing strength of our group company Mete Chemicals.
- Production: vacuum carbon-black, automated weighing and oil feeding mix exactly to recipe; masterbatch or final (cure system added) compound.
- Testing: every batch is verified against your specification by rheometer, Mooney and hardness; the report travels with the batch.
- Delivery: calendered sheet, strip, slab or uncalendered compound.
Who it suits
Moulders without a mixing plant; manufacturers who have one but need support during capacity peaks or maintenance; companies that want pilot batches for a new product; brands that want to protect their recipe while outsourcing production.
Formulation support
If your recipe is not ready, our formulation team designs one to your target values; we can also review an existing recipe for cost, processing safety (scorch) and raw-material availability. Alternative raw materials are used only with your approval.
Quality assurance
Toll batches follow the same quality system as our own products: IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 (DQS). Traceability from raw-material lot to shipment, certificate of analysis on request.
Frequently asked questions
How is my recipe kept confidential?
A confidentiality agreement is signed; the recipe is held only in production planning and the weighing system with restricted access, and is never used for another customer.
Do we have to send the raw materials?
Both options work: you supply them, or Metekim buys them on your behalf through the group's purchasing network.
What is the minimum batch?
It is planned according to mixer batch size; we also find solutions for pilot batches. Share your volume and we will plan together.
Masterbatch or final compound?
Both. If you add the cure system yourself we deliver masterbatch; if you want mould-ready compound we deliver final compound.
